Body Wraps Q & A

Why would I need a body wrap?

Your skin is your body’s largest organ and covers a whopping 18-21 square feet on average. This protective tissue shields you from everything from the sun’s ultraviolet rays to infection-causing bacteria, and over time, this role can take its toll.

To offer the best protection, your skin cells renew themselves every four weeks with healthy skin cells. As you get older, however, these skin cells aren’t as resilient as they once were, as the years of wear and tear begin to add up, breaking down the structural support.

To replenish your skin’s resources and encourage healthy new skin cell growth, Khloe Lynn MedSpa & Skin Care offers restorative body wraps.

What types of body wraps are available?

Khloe Lynn MedSpa & Skin Care offers several different body wraps that aim to nourish, protect, and detoxify your skin:

Sugar Plum Body Scrub ($110)

This full body exfoliation cleanses you from head to toe, leaving you feeling fresh and renewed. You can opt for a massage followed by hot towels to remove the body scrub, and lastly, a full body moisturizer to keep you skin soft and smooth.

Detox Dead Sea Body Wrap ($150)

This soothing body wrap includes a variety of products such as algae, seaweek, mud, clay, or gel to help rid the body of toxins.

After Ms. Soler applies the product to your body, you are wrapped in plastic and covered with a blanket for 20 minutes. Then she removes the wrap with hot towels and applies a full body moisturizer to your skin.

Seaweed Body Wrap ($70)

This body wrap is a mixture of seaweed and therapeutic essence for exfoliating, detoxifying, and improving your skin’s elasticity and smoothness.

Mud Body Wrap ($70)

Nourish your skin with a mud treatment from the Dead Sea in Israel, which also detoxifies your body by drawing out impurities.

Autumn Spice Body Polish with Pumpkin ($70)

With this body wrap, Ms. Soler exfoliates your skin using relaxing mineral salts infused with pumpkin and autumn spice essential oils to encourage new cell growth.

When you first come in, Ms. Soler sits down with you to review your skin care concerns and skin type and comes up with a body wrap that she believes benefits you most.

How often should I have a body wrap?

Your skin works tirelessly to protect you, which is no small task given the harsh environment that comes with New England living. Your skin care needs are highly seasonal — moisturization in the fall and winter months and deep cleansing during the spring and summer months.

Because of this, you’d do well to keep up with regular body wraps, whether weekly or monthly, depending upon your time and budget.
